FC Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu remains optimistic about his team's chances of advancing to the group stage of the CAF Champions League despite a challenging first-leg result against Raja Club Athletic.The Timber Giants managed a 2-2 draw with the Moroccan side at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, leaving the tie delicately poised.In a thrilling encounter, Francis Gyetuah and Michael Ephson found the back of the net for Samartex, overturning an early goal by Mohamed Azrida.However, the Moroccan side fought back to secure a crucial equalizer through defender Mohamed Boulacsout, leaving Samartex with work to do in the return leg.When asked about his team's prospects of qualification, Amadu expressed confidence, saying;"It’s a possibility." Despite the setback, he remains focused on the upcoming task as Samartex prepares to travel to Morocco for the decisive second leg this week.The Ghanaian champions will need to be at their optimum best to overcome the Moroccan giants and secure a spot in the group stage at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca next weekend in the second leg fixture.
