Black Maidens embrace pressure ahead of WAFU Zone B opener

Black Maidens are ready to face Benin in the opening game of the WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup, scheduled for Thursday at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa acknowledged the high expectations placed on the team as tournament hosts. "There will definitely be pressure on us as hosts, and a lot of people will be expecting us to win," Adarkwa said. "My girls are ready to play, and that’s the most important aspect of this tournament for me."Despite limited knowledge of their opponents, Adarkwa is confident in his team’s adaptability and preparation. "As of now, I do not know much about our opponents, but once we start the competition, we shall get to see them more. The technical team has everything in place, and we are ready for any match and to take all points at stake."The Black Maidens will aim to leverage their home advantage and start the competition with a victory when the match kicks off at 3pm local time.
