SWAG congratulates John Mahama for winning Saturday's elections

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended its warm congratulations to president-elect John Dramani Mahama following his victory in Saturday's general elections.SWAG hailed the former president's win as a big opportunity for a transformative leadership era in Ghana.The association, through its president Kwabena Yeboah, expressed its commitment to collaborating with the Mahama to propel the nation's sports development agenda forward."President-Elect, H.E John Dramani Mahama demonstrated his commitment to the development and promotion of sports in our dear country by engaging major sports stakeholders, particularly the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), during pre-elections," the statement said.Additionally, SWAG praised the electoral process as peaceful and acknowledged vice president Mahamudu Bawumia for his gracious concession that eased tensions in the country.As Mahama prepares to assume the highest office in the country, SWAG conveyed its best wishes, expressing hope that his leadership will usher in an era of prosperity, stability, and growth for all Ghanaians.
