Ghana legend upset about unfulfilled promises and lack of recognition for past AFCON champions

Former Ghana star Rev. Osei Kofi has spoken out about the neglect of players who won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) titles in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982.Osei Kofi, a key player in the 1963 and 1965 victories, criticises the lack of rewards for past champions compared to the 2015 team who received Jeeps for finishing second.He highlights promises made by past governments, including houses offered by President Acheampong in 1965, which were never fulfilled.Osei Kofi questions the lack of continuity in honouring commitments made by past administrations."In all the four AFCONs we secured, no one received even a bicycle, yet the recent team that placed second in Equatorial Guinea were presented with Cherokee cars.
