Medeama to train at new-look T and A Stadium for first time in 5 years on August 14

Medeama will train at the newly reconstructed T and A stadium on Wednesday August 14, 2024,  five years since the club last played at the now modern 10,400 capacity facility.The Mauve and Yellow will hit the pitch for the first to train ahead of the massive reopening of the ultra-modern Stadium on Friday August 16.The former Ghana Premier League champions are billed to battle an unnamed side as part of long activities to inaugurate  the newly reconstructed Stadium - which is expected to attract the creme de la creme of Ghanaian football, top government officials including Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.Medeama have submitted T and A Stadium as their venue for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.The former Ghanaian champions aim to utilize the new stadium after being forced to play away from home since 2019.Previously, they had been using the Akoon Community Park, but the Gold Fields-funded stadium is now ready.The newly commissioned stadium, which has a capacity of 10,000, features modern facilities and a top-quality pitch.Medeama have officially submitted it to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as their main venue.Meanwhile, Akoon Park will serve as the club's alternative venue, and they...
