Maxwell Konadu signed a year deal with Black Leaopards, says Nsoatreman chief Ignatius Baffou Awuah

Ignatius Baffour Awuah, the owner and bankroller of Nsoatreman FC, has revealed that former coach Maxwell Konadu has signed a one-year contract with South African club Black Leopards.Konadu recently departed Nsoatreman FC after an impressive year, during which he led the team to their first major silverware by winning the 2023/24 FA Cup.Contrary to widespread reports suggesting that Konadu had agreed to a three-year deal with the South African lower-tier side, Baffour Awuah confirmed that the former Black Stars assistant coach opted for a shorter commitment.“I’m telling you emphatically that Maxwell Konadu has signed for one year, even though Black Leopards wanted him for more years, but he committed himself for only one year. It could be that we will work with him again in the future,” said Baffour Awuah during the unveiling of Nsoatreman FC's new coach, Yaw Preko.Preko has reportedly signed a two-year deal with the FA Cup winners and was officially unveiled on Monday, July 9, 2024.
