THOUSANDS APPLY FOR SUBSIDIZED AC UNITS AND HURRICANE SHUTTERS

Close to 3,000 families have applied for subsidized air conditioning units and hurricane shutters under the Department of Environment’s Just Transition Programme. The application process closed off on Friday for this phase of the programme aimed at preparing the country for the continuing impacts of climate change. Jamie J. Roacher reports.
