Additional funds approved for QW west-end watermain loop

The budget for a watermain loop in Quinte West is going to be increased by almost a million dollars in additional funds. Quinte West Council approved a recommendation to insert an additional $987,595 at its meeting Wednesday to bring the west-end watermain loop budget to just over $8,000. A joint report from Engineering Services and Water/Wastewater Services noted there were significant challenges that were found during construction that were not known at the time of tendering for the project.
