Driver clocked at 183 on 401 in Quinte West

Quinte West OPP pulled over a vehicle going more than 180 on Tuesday morning. Shortly after 6:30 a.m., Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401 eastbound, in the City of Quinte West. The vehicle was observed traveling at 183 km/hr in a posted 110 km/hr zone. As a result, a 21-year-old resident of Newcastle has been charged with race motor vehicle - excessive speed - under the Highway Traffic Act.  Their driver's license was suspended, and their vehicle has been impounded for fourteen days. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville...
