Belleville police brief: theft and false alarm

Belleville police have charged a 36-year-old man with theft following an incident at a business on Monday afternoon. Officers were called to a business on Bell Blvd business for a report of a theft in progress.  Staff reported they observed a male conceal several tools and then leave the store.  Police said staff approached the male and retrieved some of the stolen items.  Police located the male a short distance away.  As a result of the investigation, Brian Scrymgeour of no fixed address was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court...
