Extreme cold warning in effect across Quinte Region

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the Quinte Region and surrounding area. The weather agency said the region can expect wind chill values near minus 30 to as low as minus 35 Tuesday night through to Wednesday morning. The alert includes: Belleville, Quinte West, Stirling, Northumberland County, Madoc, Prince Edward County and Napanee. "Extreme cold puts everyone at risk," Environment Canada said on its website.  "Dress warmly and in wind-resistant layers.  Cover up.
