TRAFFIC – Stage Two of Lansdowne project on schedule for late June

Beginning June 28, 2024, traffic impacts from stage one of the City Centre Sanitary Upgrades Project will return to normal operations. Stage two of the project will move eastward, affecting traffic on Lansdowne Street from 2nd Avenue to 4th Avenue. The City said today that during stage two, the Lansdowne corridor between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue will include trench work on the south side of the street and only one lane of through traffic on the north side of the street. From 3rd Avenue to 4th Avenue, the trench work will switch to the north side of Lansdowne Street, and traffic will flow on the south side of the street. There will also be temporary impacts at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Lansdowne Street in early July, followed by temporary impacts at the intersection of 3rd Avenue at Lansdowne Street in early August. In conjunction with the onset of stage two, crews will be restoring Lansdowne Street between 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue and Lorne Street between Uji Way and Lansdowne Street.
