One of the most vibrant celebrations Belleville has to offer has been given the green light from council to serve alcoholic beverages. At its meeting on Monday council declared the ever-popular Belleville Caribbean Carnival a municipally significant event so organizers can apply for a special occasion permit to sell alcohol on August 17.
