Legion building revitalization project set to begin with community partnerships

The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 232 in Huntsville will soon be getting some upgrades. Rotary People of Action Huntsville will partner with the Legion on Aug.18 to help update and transform the building. The project will begin with the main hall and stairwell, which will receive a fresh new coat of paint to “create a brighter and more inviting atmosphere”. Caroline Marshall, president of Rotary People of Action Huntsville says the project will “breathe new life into the essential community hub.” “The Legion has long been a cornerstone of our community, providing invaluable support to veterans and residents alike,” Marshall says. “It’s our turn to give back and ensure that the building reflects the spirit and warmth it embodies.” Marshall says the goal is to make the space more visually appealing and more functional for the community. Officials add the Rotary Club is partnering with Wilson's The Paint Store and Muskoka Rent-All. They say both “generously agreed” to support the project by providing supplies. Rotary People of Action Huntsville plans to continue updating various areas of the Legion as time and resources allow.
