Heading out to Shawnigan Lake will be a bit smoother for travellers as the province looks to resurface Shawnigan Lake Road. Work will take place from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday starting next week and begins at the intersection of West Shawnigan Lake Road North to Verlon Road During construction, only local traffic will be allowed on that stretch of Shawnigan Lake Road, all other traffic diverted around the lake. Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes and are asked to take an alternative route when possible. The province says that work will conclude in mid-October.
