Cobourg man faces dangerous driving charge

Officers with Cobourg Police were on patrol on Thursday at around 12;45 p.m. when a suspended driver known to police was seen in the Densmore Road and Division Street area. The driver proceeded through two stop signs and the officers decided not to pursue the motorist out of concern for public safety. Police found the suspect driver on Friday around 6:15 p.m. -- a 33-year-old Cobourg man faces charges of flight from a peace officer and dangerous operation, along with three counts of driving while under suspension when he appears in court sometime in October....
