Stirling man dies in fatal collision north of Madoc

More information has been released as an investigation continues by Central Hastings OPP into a fatal crash north of Madoc early Sunday afternoon. Police have confirmed that a head-on collision involved two pickup trucks and resulted in the death of one person. One of the drivers -- a 74-year-old man from Stirling -- was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that happened on Highway 62 at around 1:00 p.m. A 68-year-old woman who was a passenger in that vehicle was transported to hospital by Hastings-Quinte Paramedics with serious injuries, while the 64-year-old male driver and the 58-year-old female...
