Impaired driving charge laid following serious crash in PEC

An impaired driving charge has been laid following a serious crash over the weekend in Prince Edward County. Officers with Prince Edward OPP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Salem Road on Sunday at around 5:00 p.m. The collision included a farm vehicle/tractor and a passenger vehicle that flipped following the crash, coming to rest on its hood/front. One of the drivers involved was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. An investigation resulted in 33-year-old Nicholas Blaind of Coboconk facing charges of operation while impaired and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He has a court date of September...
