House fire in Bayside on Friday morning

There were no injuries in a house fire in the Bayside area on Friday morning. Crews from Station 3 responded around 1:30 am to a kitchen fire at a home on Old Highway 2. That location is close to the fire hall and Deputy Fire Chief Rick Caddick says they were there in minutes and quickly contained the damage to the kitchen area. Everyone made it out safely and there were no injuries. Damage is estimated at $75,000. Caddick says the fire is not suspicious and was likely caused by cooking materials. ...
