Lake Cowichan RCMP says they’ve activated the major crime unit to help investigate a suspicious death after a man was reported missing last week. According to police, Tavis Cragg was reported missing on Sept. 3, and after being called to a residence in the 7900 block of Cowichan Lake Road they found what they believe to be Cragg’s body. RCMP say they’ve handed the investigation to the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime unit, and so far, have determined the incident is isolated and there is no further threat to the community. They say the investigation remains open and anyone with information is asked to contact the major crime unit at 250-380-6211.
