Highway 2 closed near Point Anne in Thurlow following crash

A collision caused major delays in the east end of Belleville on Monday afternoon. Firefighters, Police and Paramedics responded following a two-vehicle crash believed to be in the westbound lane of Highway 2 between Point Anne Lane and Mitchell Side Road around 4:20 pm. One person was being treated by paramedics, but fire stood down a short time later. No word yet on injuries, but the road was closed and police were on scene rerouting traffic. Expect major delays until they clear the scene. Drivers were being encouraged to use other routes. More details are expected tomorrow....
