Belleville Police seeking public assistance regarding assault suspect

 Belleville Police are looking for the public's help in identifying an assault suspect. The incident happened on Thursday at around 8:00 p.m. when a city resident was passing the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Pinnacle Street while walking home from work. A male started making obscene accusations before threatening and reportedly assaulting the resident in that area before leaving on foot -- he is described as scruffy looking and was wearing dark-coloured clothing and carrying a backpack. Anyone with information or potential dashcam video footage regarding this suspect is to contact Constable Sarley at the Belleville Police Service....
