Several recommendations approved for traffic safety in QW

Several items from the Active Transportation & Traffic Safety Advisory Committee were approved by Quinte West Council on Wednesday. The group received and made decisions on several reports from Director of Public Works and Environmental Services Chris Angelo. Two of them pertained to large truck issues on Hollen Street and Old Carrying Place Road, with Council being asked to direct staff to designate those roadways as No Heavy Truck Routes. Council also directed staff to add Coleman Drive to the municipal Winter Sidewalk Maintenance Route, implement Traffic Calming Measures on Couch Crescent, including a traffic calming pilot project to install...
