QW Health Care Connect Program modification approved

Quinte West Council has approved an amendment to a program aimed at continuing to connect local residents with doctors. At its meeting on Wednesday, Council made a modification to the existing Health Care Connect Premium program, to allow patients to be transferred directly from a patient roster of a doctor who is discontinuing to practice family medicine in Quinte West as well as taking patients from the Health Care Connect program. Council also further authorized CAO David Clazie to have the ability to apply discretion to review and approve future requests, in consultation with the Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee,...
