PC candidate Tyler Allsopp wins in Bay of Quinte byelection

Tyler Allsopp won the Bay of Quinte byelection on Thursday night, keeping the seat for the PC Party after Todd Smith resigned to join the private sector last month. Allsopp took home 38.69 per cent  the vote.  He collected 14,430 votes - 2,002 more than second place finisher Liberal Sean Kelly at 12,428. "It's incredible," Allsopp said following his election win.  "It really takes a village to get this sort of thing done.  We had a village form around me and it meant the world to me.  I'm very excited.  This is something I've really wanted for a long time."
