Sens grind out one-goal win over Crunch

The Belleville Senators buckled down and grinded a tough 2-1 win over the Syracuse Crunch on Wednesday night at CAA Arena. The victory extended their winning streak to five games, a season-best to this point. Neither team broke in the first period, with Leevi Merilainen and Syracuse’s Brandon Halverson standing tall in the frame with the Crunch outshooting Belleville 8-4. Belleville fell behind 1-0 early in the middle frame, on a Jesse Ylonen marker, but rebounded nicely with two of its own. Donovan Sebrango’s long-distance shot skimmed nice and low past the left pad of Halverson to tie the score...
