Beyond the Headlines - remembering Jimmy Carter

Just before the year ended, we lost a person who may have done more after he was president than when he was sitting in the big chair at the White House. A National Day of Mourning will be held in the U.S. on January 9th, as Jimmy Carter is laid to rest. He passed away on Sunday at the age of 100. The oldest ever man to hold the presidency had only one term in the 1970's, but his accomplishments and his legacy extend far beyond those four years. First and foremost, Carter was a man of peace.
