Retired police officer to receive retirement badge 58 years later

A man who left the Belleville Police Force almost 60 years ago is finally getting his due laurels. During the Belleville Police Services Board meeting next Thursday at City Hall, Acting Chief Chris Barry will be presenting retired Cst. Ian McColl with his retirement badge for his dedicated service. Cst. McColl joined the force on April 16, 1956 and left the Force in 1966 after 10 years of service to pursue a career with Ontario Hydro Security.
