CZECH POINTS: Pickleball booming in Belleville

It’s called pickleball. And it is taking over Belleville. There are now outdoor courts at Cliff Sonny Belch Park (the former Hillcrest School) and Tom Gavey Alemite Park, plus indoor facilities at the Swellness Centre and Quinte Curling Club, among other locations.  So, what is pickleball and why is it catching on so quickly? Well, the International Federation of Pickleball has been around since 2009 when the first-ever national championship was held in the United States.
