Belleville fire crews contain blaze at Dundas St. East duplex

A fire near the former Belleville Police Station was quelled quickly Tuesday morning. City fire crews were able to knock down a deck fire with a propane tank venting on it just after midnight on Dundas St. East, beside the Dairy Queen and across from the old police station. Deputy fire chief Mark Shannon told our newsroom crews found the fire was well involved and had spread onto the wall of the house.
