Time sure flies by when you’re working on multiple Cardfight!! Vanguard decks for weekly events and play sessions. We didn’t realize it was already time for the newest Festival Booster. We always look forward to the Festival Booster packs, as they not only reprint hard-to-get cards but also introduce many cool cards that can be played in various decks. This latest release, in particular, adds new Over Triggers, a new Regalis Piece, an updated Elementaria Sanctitude, and so much more. For starters, we’ll have to mention that Festival Booster boxes are a bit different than the main sets, as each single booster pack only contains three cards. Even so, you’ll get a high rarity card in each of these single booster packs, meaning it’s an interesting set nonetheless. You’ll get a minimum of an RR card or higher out of each pack and two additional Trigger cards. This means you’ll not only get a nice shiny new card but also Triggers to make sure your deck has all the necessary cards to be tournament-legal. As mentioned above, there are four cards in particular that we really loved in this set, namely Spiritual King of Nightsky, Nyxlaszelia, Spiritual King of Brightsky, Meridzanblia, Radiance Caliburn, and the new Elementaria Sanctitude. The first two mentioned cards are the new Over Trigger cards that are not restricted to a specific nation. This means that every deck you come up with can have one of these two Over Triggers in them. Both Over Triggers’ additional effects are quite impressive as Nyxlaszelia allows you to take a card from your damage zone, then call a card to your Rear-Guard Circle and give an additional 10000 Power to that card. This means you’ll basically be healing one damage and you even get an additional attack in the process. Meridzanblia approaches things a bit differently, as you are able to draw one card for each open Circle on the opponent’s field. This also includes the Guardian Circle. After drawing your additional cards, you retire all of your opponent’s Rear-Guards and Guardians. This is great to prepare yourself for your opponent’s next turn. The new Elementaria Sanctitude has an additional condition. Namely, you can play it with the usual cost of discarding a card, if you do not have any other crests than the Energy Generator crest in play. On top of that, if your opponent does have more crests than the Energy Generator crest in play, you can actually play this card for free. This provides a great defense against the high-powered Stride decks, and also against the newly introduced Touken Ranbu crest decks. Last but not least, Radiance Caliburn is the newest Regalis Piece, and it’s a very impressive one. When playing Radiance Caliburn, you get to choose between either drawing two cards, or placing Radiance Caliburn in your Vanguard’s soul and performing a counter charge. As always, the set has a lot more to offer than the card we have mentioned above, and we hope you’ll discover the cool additions when building your new Cardfight!! Vanguard decks or when updating your favorite ones. Bushiroad is clearly putting some focus on cards that can be played in all types of decks, and we’re all for it.
