Nigeria's Sports Minister, John Enoh, has questioned the desire and commitment of Super Eagles players, who were born abroad. The Super Eagles faltered in their last two outings against South Africa and Benin Republic. The commitment and hunger of some of the players, especially those born abroad was questioned afterwards by fans and pundits.
