Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI last May for allegedly violating the company's original founding agreement that it would not make a profit from the software it produced. The suit was later withdrawn because the probability of winning was low. Yesterday Elon Musk re-filed the same against OpenAI specifically Sam Altman and Greg Brockman in a court in California. In the latest writ of summons, legal action was taken because OpenAI violates the original purpose of the company that develops artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the good of humanity. Musk claims to have been duped by Altman's promise to develop open source AI without making a profit.Payment of up to three times the profits and money invested by Musk is requested as compensation. The exclusive agreement between OpenAI and Microsoft also wants to be canceled by Musk because it is again allegedly violating the true motive of the company's establishment.Musk was one of the original eleven founders of OpenAI in 2015 before leaving the company in 2018 because he disagreed with the direction of the company and he wanted to be appointed CEO. OpenAI issued a counter statement saying the suit filed was baseless. Proof that Musk himself wants OpenAI to generate revenue before exiting the company is attached once.
