After the launch of Intel Lunar Lake processing chips, the company showed many new processes in terms of cost reduction and parallelization of business processes, such as separating their foundry division from the main companies that develop their own semiconductor chip technology.Recently, it has been reported that Intel will receive a cash grant of $3 billion (~RM12.7 billion) through the CHIPS Act for the company to supply semiconductor chips for the United States' defense and military sectors. We know now that Intel is accelerating the development of their 18A process for both new factories in Arizona and Ohio to ensure that they can produce new semiconductor chips around mid-2025.With this CHIPS Act investment, Intel is expected to produce semiconductor components for the defense and military sectors of the United States to develop new equipment for national security purposes. This program is called Secure Enclave and will be developed by Intel specifically for that purpose. So far not many details are known about the Secure Enclave, but it seems that it will take advantage of Intel's 18A chip production process technology to build the latest and most powerful defense systems. In the meantime, these Secure Enclave factories will operate separately from other Intel factories and will not be mixed with the production of their consumer products.
