Malaysian Passport Rises to 12th Most Powerful in the World - Singapore Remains Top

The world's most powerful passport index by Henley & Partners has been published today. Malaysian passports rose to the 12th most powerful in the world this year compared to 14th in 2023. Malaysian passport holders are allowed to travel to 182 countries without the need for a visa compared to 179 countries last year.This is Malaysia's best position since 2014 where the national passport was ranked 8th. The most powerful passport in the world still remains in the hands of Singapore which allows travel to 192 destinations without the need for a visa. In the Southeast Asian region, Malaysia ranks second while in Asia we are ranked fourth behind Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
