Police received a report of two big cats seen in the Dell of Killiehuntly area near Kingussie on Friday.
Staff from wildlife conservation charity RZSS humanely trapped the cats on Thursday.
Specially trained staff trapped the big cats overnight after people were warned to stay away from the area.
