Ahead of Stepping Down, Jokowi Reshuffles Cabinet Again

JAKARTA — The inauguration of Gus Ipul as Minister of Social Affairs was based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 102 P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period. In addition to the Minister of Social Affairs, Jokowi also inaugurated Inspector General Eddy Hartono as Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and Aida Suwandi Budiman as Commissioner of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS). Met after the inauguration, Gus Ipul did not talk much about the focus of his performance as Minister of Social Affairs who will only serve until October 20 or only 39 days. Speaking to reporters, he asked for 1-2 days to formulate the focus of what programs he will work on during the remaining very short time. “Not yet there, I will coordinate with Coordinating Minister for PMK Muhadjir after that I will make a statement about what we will do in the future in the remaining time.
