Violence against women at epidemic levels

Violence against women and girls in England and Wales has risen by almost 40 per cent in recent years, according to figures published in a new report. Law enforcement authorities are calling for more action to crack down on the spread of misogynistic content online. According to them, the spread of contempt and hatred towards women on social media is encouraging the increase in cases of violence against them.
