U.S. President Donald Trump admits Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin are delaying the conclusion of a ceasefire deal on Ukraine. Trump spoke in an interview with Newsmax, seen by Ukrinform. Responding to a journalist's question, the president said: "I don't know. I mean, I'll let you know at a certain point. But I think that Russia wants to see an end to it, but it could be they're dragging their feet." According to Trump, he himself has resorted to such tactics in business. "I've done it over the years, you know; I don't want to sign a contract, I want to sort of stay in the game, but maybe I don't want to do it, quite … I'm not sure," he said. “But no,” he added. “I think Russia would like to see it end, and I think [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskнy would like to see it end at this point.” Trump said that both sides were losing an average of 2,500 troops a week. “They're not Americans but it doesn't matter to me, from that standpoint," Trump said. "I see the pictures of the battlefields; I'd rather not even see them. We have arms and legs and heads all over the field. The weaponry is ridiculous. It's a big drone deal now. … And I just want to see it stop,” the president said. As Ukrinform reported earlier, on Tuesday, March 25, in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations held a new meeting after the Ukrainian-American negotiations on March 23 and the American-Russian talks on March 24. During the meeting on March 25, the United States and Ukraine agreed on ensuring safe navigation, refraining from the use of force, and preventing the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. The White House also reported that, following the negotiations between the American and Russian delegations on March 24, the United States will help restore Russia's access to the world market for agricultural products and fertilizers.
