Last Saturday, Dredging company DEME signed a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian government to establish an industrial-scale green hydrogen production facility in Egypt’s western desert. The wind and solar energy infrastructure will be located 70 kilometers away and connected to the factory by a high-voltage line. The new HYPORT green hydrogen production plant will be located in the Port of Gargoub’s industrial zone, the country’s newest commercial and industrial zone on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast.
