Australia, US look to joint production of hypersonic missile, US lawmaker says

Australia and the US discussed joint production of hypersonic missiles to alleviate strain on American defence resources and enhance deterrence in the Indo-Pacific. The initiative aims to counteract China's advancements in hypersonic technology. The AUKUS alliance will facilitate advanced defence collaborations, including nuclear-powered submarines, heightening regional security measures and deterring Chinese aggression in the South China Sea.
