Nato backs US President Joe Biden after 'slip of tongue' at summit

NATO defended US President Joe Biden after he mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "President Putin" during a press conference at the NATO summit in Washington. The slip was quickly corrected, but reporters raised concerns. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron both defended Biden, calling it a "slip of the tongue" and emphasising Biden’s clarity on issues. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Polish President Andrzej Duda also expressed confidence in Biden’s leadership.
