New TNA Stadium receives conditional approval for Ghana Premier League matches

The newly inaugurated $16 million TNA Stadium has received conditional approval from the Club Licensing Department of the Ghana Football Association to host Ghana Premier League matches. The stadium, which boasts a seating capacity of 13,000, has yet to secure full approval due to the absence of an inner perimeter, a crucial requirement identified during inspection reports conducted between August 8 and August 21, 2024.A re-inspection is set for August 30, 2024, giving the stadium's management time to address the highlighted issues.Medeama SC, who submitted the venue as their home ground, are eagerly awaiting the final approval to fully utilize the facility for the upcoming season. The TNA Stadium’s full approval is crucial as the new Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on September 6.The club and their supporters are hopeful that the necessary upgrades will be completed in time to host matches at the state-of-the-art venue.
