The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been commended by the Army Peace Operations Training School (APOTS) for its support in housing senior officers at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.The recognition came during the APOTS’ UNIFIL GH 91 End of Pre-Deployment Training Parade and Wasa on Friday, August 9, 2024.The GFA has been accommodating APOTS officers since October 2021, providing them with a conducive environment for their training.This gesture is seen as a demonstration of the GFA’s commitment to national service, as they have also offered their facilities for use as a COVID-19 treatment centre during the pandemic.The commendation from APOTS highlights the GFA’s role as a responsible corporate citizen that goes beyond football, contributing to both public health and national security.
