The escalating feud over the management of the newly constructed TnA Stadium in Tarkwa has reached a boiling point.Following concerns about the stadium's deteriorating condition just a month after its handover to the National Sports Authority (NSA), the local community has taken a drastic step by dismissing NSA officials.The USD16.2 million, 10,000-seater facility, funded by the Goldfields Foundation and completed in June 2024, has already hosted several high-profile football events, including the GHALCA Top 4 and Super Cup.However, reports of malfunctioning washrooms, broken pipes, and a deteriorating pitch have prompted the municipal assembly to intervene.The community's decision reflects growing frustration with the NSA's management, which they believe has failed to uphold the stadium's standards and address critical issues.In response to the community's actions, Majeed Bawa, the NSA Deputy Director, has asserted that the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly does not have the authority to take over the stadium's management.Speaking on Asempa FM, Bawa emphasized that despite local grievances, the NSA retains control over the stadium, and any administrative changes would require official processes and approvals.As the community continues to advocate for better management, the NSA's stance raises questions about its commitment to the stadium's...
