The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has clarified the objectives of its Borehole Project, emphasising that the initiative is aimed at enhancing playing infrastructure by improving access to water for pitch maintenance.The project, formally titled the "GFA Borehole Project," was funded through a specific grant from FIFA, which the GFA requested to support playing infrastructure for clubs across the country.The project’s clear goal is to construct boreholes and provide necessary accessories, including water tanks, to facilitate better pitch watering systems.These improvements are targeted at Regional Football Associations (RFAs), Division One League (DOL), and Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs.The GFA stressed that the FIFA grant was never intended for the maintenance of pitches in national stadiums, a fact captured in all official reports and documentation related to the project.
