Maxwell Konadu left Nsoatreman FC with my blessings - Owner Ignatius Baffour Awuah

Dr Ignatius Baffour Awuah, owner of Nsoatreman FC, has confirmed that former coach Maxwell Konadu had his full support before departing the club.Konadu, who led Nsoatreman FC to their first Ghana FA Cup victory against regional rivals, has left to join South African second-tier side Black Leopards.Speaking at the unveiling of Yaw Preko as the new head coach, Dr. Baffour Awuah dispelled rumors that Konadu left the club without prior notice.“I want to state clearly that it isn’t true that Coach Maxwell Konadu left us without prior notice," he said. "He came to me and indicated to me what his plans are and I gave him my blessing."He further explained that Konadu was involved in the search for his replacement, ensuring a smooth transition for the club."I even asked him to help in the search for his replacement so us getting a new coach was done with the help of Maxwell Konadu," he added.Nsoatreman FC finished fourth in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. Yaw Preko will now lead the team as they prepare for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign next season.
