Significant program changes and staff reductions at Belleville’s Loyalist College

Due to a "significant revenue loss", major changes are happening to programs and also staff levels at Belleville's Loyalist College. Staff meetings were being held at Loyalist on Wednesday afternoon and an email was also going to explain the changes. Drastic reductions in the enrollment applications by international students (close to 90% lower than previous levels) due to changes announced by the Federal Government last year, coupled with the freeze in tuition levels for "domestic" students since 2019 (which were also reduced at that time to 2015 levels), have left the college facing a 40-million-dollar funding shortfall for the fiscal year...
