Ice rescue in Trenton

A quick and effective response resulted in a woman being rescued after being spotted on the ice near open water in Trenton on Thursday afternoon. Shortly before 2:30 pm, people spotted a female in her 30's on the ice of the Trent River by Front and Dixon with open water clearly visible in her area. Quinte West OPP, Firefighters, and Hastings Quinte Paramedics all responded to the scene. The Quinte West Firefighter Icewater Rescue Team sent one boat out (with a second on scene as backup).
