Trial begins in 2021 fatal collision

The trial of a man charged in a fatal collision from a little over three years ago is underway in Belleville. The case of Aysar Younes, who is facing two counts each of dangerous driving and impaired driving causing death in a crash in Trenton on October 3, 2021, is being heard at the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse. The collision occurred on Old Highway 2, east of RCAF Road in Trenton on that day, involved a vehicle travelling westbound crashing into a vehicle going east in that area.
